With a powerful and sultry, signature vocal, singer/songwriter Sammy Allen is a natural born performer who has been compared to the likes of Pat Benatar, Kelly Clarkson and Ann Wilson of Heart. Originally from Virginia, Sammy grew up in a musical family and was exposed to music at a very young age. She moved to New York City in pursuit of a vocal career, landing work as a singing bartender in a popular East Village karaoke lounge. But it wasn’t until a trip to Los Angeles – where she was introduced to Josh Paul of Daughtry and Scott Ueda of Glitch – when things began to take shape. Sammy relocated to sunny Southern California and the trio formed the popular LA band, Seven Stitches. The group drew big crowds and received critical praise, winning awards for Best Female Vocal, Song of the Year and Best Rock Band at the All Access music awards. Soon after, Sammy began recording her debut solo project. She released her first solo EP on June 15, 2010 titled, “Behind the Sun” which she wrote and recorded with GRAMMY®-nominated writer/producer Jeeve (Nicole Scherzinger, Paulina Rubio, Carlos Santana, Thalia, Tupac Shakur, Hypnogaja) and writer/producer Mark Nubar (Eden’s Crush, Howard Hewett, Hypnogaja). Her first singles, “I Can See Into Forever,” (a duet with Jason “ShyBoy” Arnold, lead singer of the alt. rock band Hypnogaja) and “Breathe”are available now on iTunes®, Amazon and online retailers worldwide on Union State Records. Her music has been placed on hit television shows such as NBC’s Friday Night Lights, as well as MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge, and Battle Of The Exes. In early 2012, Sammy went on to sing female lead vocals, and front epic rock band Globus, the internationally renowned band, helmed by Yoav Goren, composer of over 7000 film trailers to date. This band has millions of views on YouTube and social media. It features music from some of the biggest film trailers of all time. It’s still an ongoing collaboration to this day but is on hiatus at the moment. One of her latest musical endeavors include forming and fronting a new band with multi instrumentalist and producer, Eric Klein, called Zerokelvin. They’re currently in the studio, writing and recording vocals for their upcoming full length album. Sammy is also a session singer with SAG/AFTRA. She sings the theme song, “Everything Is Awesome”(unplugged duet version), in the animated feature film, The Lego Movie. Her vocals are also frequently featured in the EMMY winning animated television series, Robot Chicken, and she is a featured soloist in Dreamworks’ new animated series, The Adventures Of Puss In Boots.
